Lumens Lumenis : Photography

Lumens Lumenis was the first showing of photography for the artist. This series explores inner spaces, openings, repressed emotions that create inner worlds of mystery. Shadow and light are integral.

Small constructions were built with materials being utilised in the larger installation projects Vox Lumens and Universal Light. Photographed in natural light, the palette was deliberately restricted to neutral colours, greys (warm and cool) through to tones of white, constantly exploring the interplay between shadow and light.

The photographs are in editions of 5 and are printed on Pigment Bayta silk paper.

The artist plans to build a larger body of photographic work in conjunction with her future installation projects.
